Terms of use

The terms for the BonnetBall game and this website: purchases, ads, age, your account and the small print.

Last updated: 16 October 2026

1. About these terms

These terms cover the BonnetBall game for iPhone and iPad (and for Android when that version is released) and this website. They are an agreement between you and BonnetBall (“we”, “us”), the maker of the game, based in the United Kingdom. You can reach us at [email protected]. By playing the game or using this website, you accept these terms.

How we use your information is explained in our privacy policy.

2. Using the game

  • We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to download BonnetBall and play it on devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, sell, rent or share the game itself; reverse-engineer or modify it, except where the law allows; cheat, interfere with its online services or get round its purchases; or use it in any unlawful way. Videos and streams are welcome: see the press kit.
  • When you get the game from the App Store, Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to your licence to use it, alongside these terms. When the Android version is released, Google Play’s terms of service apply to getting it from Google Play.
  • The game, its name, crest, cars, grounds, sound and music belong to us. The fonts and open-source code it uses belong to their authors and are listed on our credits and licences page.

3. Age

BonnetBall is rated 9+. It is made for teenagers and adults (13 and over). Buying something in the game always goes through Apple or Google and needs the account holder’s permission. You must be 13 or over to sign up for BonnetBall news on this website.

4. Purchases

  • The game is free to download. It offers two optional, one-off purchases: Remove Ads, and a Premium Season Pass for each season (one payment for that season, not a subscription).
  • Purchases are cosmetic items, the removal of automatic ads, or (with a Premium Season Pass) your first XP Boost each day without watching an ad. Nothing you buy affects a match, nothing you buy is random, and every reward is shown before you buy.
  • Prices are shown by the App Store or Google Play at the time you buy.
  • Apple or Google takes the payment under their own terms. We never see your card or bank details, and refunds are handled by them, not by us. See our support page for how to ask.
  • Purchases belong to your Apple ID or Google account and come back on another device with RESTORE PURCHASES. Deleting your BonnetBall account does not delete them.
  • If a Premium Season Pass is refunded, rewards you already claimed stay yours and the premium tiers you had not claimed lock again.
  • The game and its purchases are digital content. By law they must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. If something you bought does not work as described, email us and we will put it right; you can also ask Apple or Google for a refund under their policies. Because a purchase is delivered to you straight away, you cannot cancel it once it has been supplied just because you changed your mind, but this does not affect your other legal rights.

5. Ads

The game shows ads from Google AdMob after you have played for a while, never during a match. Ads are not personalised. Remove Ads switches off automatic ads for good; a Premium Season Pass switches them off while its season runs. Optional rewarded ads are always labelled and only play if you choose them.

6. Seasons and updates

Seasons change at the same moment for everyone, so the game checks the real date online now and then. Rewards you have claimed stay yours, and earned tiers from past seasons stay claimable. We may update the game to fix problems or add content; some features, such as cloud save, may need the latest version. We may change, pause or stop the game’s online services (such as cloud save and season updates), or stop offering the game. If we plan to stop the online services, we will give at least 30 days’ notice in the game or on this website, and you can still play the parts of the game that work offline. We may suspend the online services for anyone who seriously breaks these terms, for example by cheating or attacking our services.

7. Your account

You can play without signing in. The game creates a cloud save account with a random player ID after your first finished match, and you can switch it off or delete it at any time: see delete your account.

8. This website

  • You may read, link to and share this website. Press and creators may use our screenshots, footage and logos as set out in the press kit.
  • We describe the game as accurately as we can, but details may change in updates.
  • Apple, the Apple logo, iPhone and iPad are trademarks of Apple Inc., registered in the U.S. and other countries and regions. App Store is a service mark of Apple Inc. Google Play and the Google Play logo are trademarks of Google LLC.

9. Liability and the law

We make BonnetBall with reasonable care and skill. We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill, but not for loss or damage that is not foreseeable. The game is for personal use, so we are not responsible for any business losses. If faulty digital content we supply damages a device or other digital content you own, we will either repair the damage or pay you compensation, unless the damage was caused by you not installing a free update we offered or not meeting the game’s stated system requirements.

We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for breaking your legal rights as a consumer. Nothing in these terms affects those rights.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring legal proceedings about them in the courts of England and Wales; if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring them in your local courts.

10. Changes and contact

If we change these terms, we update this page and the date at the top. Questions? Email [email protected] or see our contact page.
