THE GROUNDS · 5

The grounds

Five old British football grounds, from the small old ground you start at to a 90,000 bowl under the floodlights. Day, sunset or night, in clear weather, drizzle, mist or snow.

Every match in BonnetBall is played at a proper old ground: brick, corrugated roofs, terraces and floodlight pylons. There are five, and three of them are free to everyone: BONNET PARK, ROCKER PARK and TYRESOME PARK. U-TURN PARK and VANFIELD are Season 1 Premium Pass rewards, and once you claim one it’s yours to keep.

  • The old ground · Free

    Bonnet Park

The small old ground where it all starts: a clock on the main stand, open end terraces and four lattice floodlight pylons.

  • Country ground · Free

    Rocker Park

A moorland ground under a ring of fells, with a tin-roof stand, a grass-bank terrace, a white pavilion and a viaduct across the valley.

  • Dockside ground · Free

    Tyresome Park

A dockside ground at sunset: a cantilever stand, dock cranes over the quay, a moored barge on the river and a brick warehouse behind the goal.

  • Seaside ground · Premium Pass

    U-Turn Park

A seaside ground by the pier: a promenade stand under a striped awning, a row of beach huts, a lighthouse and gulls over the beach.

  • The biggest: about 90,000 · Premium Pass

    Vanfield

The biggest ground: about 90,000 under four giant floodlight pylons, with three-tier stands, a steep home end and terraced streets of chimney pots outside.

Same pitch, different ground

Every ground has the same pitch, walls, goals and boost pads, so nothing about how you play changes from one to the next. What changes is everything around it: the stands, the scenery, the crowd and the sky.

Day, sunset or night

Each ground can be played by day, at sunset or at night under the floodlights. Your ARENA TIME setting picks it, and two grounds have a default of their own: sunset at TYRESOME PARK and night at VANFIELD.

Weather

Choose CLEAR, DRIZZLE, MIST or SNOW in CUSTOM MATCH › ARENA, from whatever that ground allows. Weather is for the look only: it never changes how the ball or the cars behave. In December, some matches snow on their own at the grounds that allow it.
