What’s at U-Turn Park

  • The main stand: a promenade stand under a striped awning with a scalloped edge, with seafront hotels climbing the hill behind.
  • The sea terrace: a low terrace whose top walk is the upper promenade, lined with 33 beach huts in blue, yellow and cream.
  • The ends: open terraces with a pavilion scoreboard.
  • Out to sea: the beach, a pier strung with lamps and a pavilion at its end, a lighthouse on the breakwater, and gulls circling over the sand.

Day, sunset and night

By day it’s soft and overcast, with a haze over the sea. Sunset is warm over the water, and at night the sea goes dark below the horizon. The weather here can be clear or misty.
