Tyresome Park

A dockside ground at sunset: a cantilever stand, dock cranes over the quay, a moored barge on the river and a brick warehouse behind the goal.

TYRESOME PARK sits on the docks, between the river and the warehouses. It’s free to everyone, and its default time is sunset, with the sun going down over the water. It’s the docks at sunset you see in the trailer.

What’s at Tyresome Park

  • The main stand: a cantilever stand with no columns in front and its steel girders on show.
  • The quayside: an open terrace on the quay, two lattice dock cranes on rails, and a barge moored at a berth lined with bollards and timber fenders.
  • The home end: a brick warehouse wall with loading bays.
  • The other end: a covered shed with a curved roof, with saw-tooth sheds and a chimney behind it.
  • The river: flowing past the ground out to the far bank.

Day, sunset and night

At sunset, its default, there’s an amber horizon and the sun setting over the river. By day the docks sit under an industrial haze, and at night the sky glows orange with the city lights. The weather here can be clear, drizzle or mist.
